Our client is an established global Commodities and Resources company. They are looking for a Logistics and Supply Chain Manager to join their expanding team in Singapore and drive Supply Chain processes and transformation.

Job Responsibilities
- Manage both in-house team and outsourced logistics/supply chain providers in delivering quality logistics & supply chain service(s) covering transhipment operations, warehouse/ inventory management, local transportation, customs clearance, permit declaration etc
- Focal point of escalation and provide direction to address operational issues, claims handling in a timely fashion.
- Development and execution of logistics strategy through the use of technologies, processes, tools and methodologies to ensure optimization of logistics and warehouse capability to support business growth
- Responsible for maintaining working process including but not limited to flow chart, working instructions, role & responsibilities of the team.
- Drive partnership with key logistics providers, from engagement, commercial evaluation, contract/ rate reviews, performance management and post-mortem
- Evaluate gaps and weaknesses in logistics/supply chain operations and identify solutions to address issues quickly
- Coordinate internal and external resources for other logistics support, when necessary
- Run RFQ & Tenders for sourcing of 3PL and external vendors, who are able to deliver high quality services while managing costs.
- Manage the month and year end processes for logistic reports and audit queries, ensuring proper recording, evaluating and reporting of quality and reliable data.
- Lead and inspire the logistics and supply chain team to achieve a high level of operational excellence
What they are looking for
- Bachelor’s degree from a reputable university, preferably specialisation in logistics/supply chain
- At least 8-10 years of logistics/supply chain experience
- Current experience in managing 3PL and outsourcing of non-core logistics/supply chain functions to external vendors is a must
- Full understanding of International Freight Incoterm
- Be an effective communicator both internally and externally.
- Growth mind set – willingness to learn and experiment new approaches and new ways of working.
- Willingness to travel.
