Our client is a renowned leader within the Freight Forwarding / Logistics industry. They are looking for an experienced Operations Supervisor, Project Logistics to join their expanding division in Singapore.

Job Responsibilities
- Advise on key decisions relating to the day-to-day activities for the division, in consultation with the Management when necessary.
- Ensure that job file management, billing, invoicing, costing and reporting is carried out in accordance with requirements.
- Oversee locally the development of new division, including the commercial policy and future strategic business direction.
- Ensure that financial management, billing and invoicing, and reporting for freight is carried out in accordance with requirements.
- Ensure that all costs are booked properly.
- Reporting for the division is carried out in accordance with requirements.
- Ensure that all freight personnel are trained on the information systems and that they are using them correctly to support the needs of the business.
- Handle tender and pricing requests from Network, Agents and internal stakeholders.
- Ocean Freight Procurement, sourcing and negotiating for competitive price-structure.
- Report preparation and submission (various assigned reports).
- Training of new on-board staff.
- Report negative files to Management and negotiate with vendors to reduce negative impact.
- Other functions as assigned by Management.
What they are looking for
- Are you an experience Supervisor / Lead specializing in Project Logistics, Logistics or Ocean Freight.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience within the Freight Forwarding or Logistics industry.
- Prior people management experience is preferred.
- Experienced in continuous improvement is an added advantage.
- Competency and experience working in ERP systems such as Cargo wise.
