About the role
Reporting to the Group Finance Director. Responsible to various aspects of financial control and reporting on a group level. Primarily, support group consolidation, management reporting, treasury, budgeting/forecasting, working capital management and internal controls.
Group Consolidation & Financial Reporting
- Responsible for the overall finance & accounting matters of the relevant country/ entities
- Perform monthly group consolidation and reporting in compliance with applicable internal finance policies and Financial Reporting Standards
- Provide accurate financial/management reports to senior management on specific deadlines
- Collaborate with Operations and other departments to support business objectives
- Create additional analyses and reports as requested by management
Treasury & Working Capital Management
- Maintain banking relationships
- Arrange for equity and debt financing as requested by senior management
- Forecast cash flow positions, related borrowing needs and ensure sufficient funds/banking facilities are available for ongoing operational and capital investment requirements
- Monitor debt levels and compliance with debt covenants
- Minimize group interest expenses on borrowings
Financial Planning /Forecasting
- Manage the preparation of the relevant country’s budget/forecasts
- Critically review the operating plan/forecast estimates for accuracy, completeness and conformance with business objectives
- Monitor the operating plan/forecasts throughout the year and report to management on variances from the established operating plan/forecast and the reasons for those variances
Internal Controls and Process Improvements
- Maintain a documented system of standard operating procedures
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies and procedures
- Identify process improvement opportunities and execute process changes
- Manage internal audit requests
Other Duties
- Supervise Finance staff and manage their performance
- Provide coaching to support staff as appropriate
- Oversee the creation of customers and vendors records in company database
- Oversee the annual audits and filing of annual tax returns of the subsidiaries including the provision of status updates and summaries of issues to management
- Provide financial analyses as needed, in particular for capital investments of subsidiaries
- Comply with all applicable quality, health, safety, security and environmental regulations
- Perform other related duties as assigned or indicated by responsibilities
What they are looking for
- Degree in Accounting and Finance or relevant professional certification.
- Minimum 5 to 8 years finance experience with prior FP&A and consolidation exposure.
- Prior exposure to Oil & Gas, Manufacturing will be highly preferred.
- Managerial or supervisory experience is an added advantage.
- Able to work independently and innovatively.
- Good stakeholder management.
