Our client is a world-renowned Freight Forwarding company. They are currently looking for a Airfreight Procurement & Capacity Manager with strong experience within the Freight Forwarding and International Logistics sector to join their team in Singapore.

Role & responsibilities:
- The primary purpose of this role is to define the optimal network, procure to enable cost optimal production and manage the subcontractors as well as manage the air freight product. This includes the following main responsibilities in alignment with Compliance, QHSE, Tradelane Management, Charter Network and Standards & Governance:
- To develop and execute a globally and regionally binding Procurement and Product Strategy with clear split of responsibilities for procurement activities between Corporate, Regions, Country / District Business Units and Charter Network and other related products / services.
- Develop relevant products with airfreight carriers, pre and on-carriage suppliers: maintain efficient procurement planning process, negotiate best possible for airfreight rates, and all other relevant service agreements.
- Network: Ensure the network (Airport-to-Airport (A2A), ground handlers, gateways) enables the targeted growth on strategically important trade lanes. Plan and manage capacity from strategic carrier per major trade lane in line with Product and Carrier Strategy.
- Procurement: Enable cost optimal production (reach agreed cost sales/yield targets and carrier commitments) through procurement and global incentive agreements together with regions, countries / districts and Charter Network. To keep a strong control on the contract to limit legal risks.
- Operations: Ensure best in class operational execution for key customers. To monitor performance and align with global airfreight products on actions, initiatives and strategies.
- Capacity planning: to ensure sufficient inputs to the global trade lane management and align country requirements/ forecasts with global and intra-regional capacity planning.
- Analyze import and export performance and capacities based on flows, carrier shares, track executions vs planning, coordinates and executes short term prioritization in case of recurring capacity shortages and in alignment with the allocation teams and the respective global trade lane managers.
- Finance: collaborate with finance teams and owns the quality/ qualitative results and financial performance of RCOM.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or related field.
- 10 years of work experience in Logistics Procurement.
- Prior Airfreight experience within the Freight Forwarding industry is a must.
- Regional / International exposure is needed.
- Prior knowledge of CargoWise is an added advantage.
